The Alcossebre area offers plenty to
do and caters for a very wide range of interests. You could simply take a
stroll along one of five excellent blue-flag beaches or get energetic and
play volleyball, tennis or bowls. For those who like to get wet whilst on
holiday, in
season, there are plenty of attractive little
paddleboats hire and for the more adventurous,
there are jet skis and scuba diving.
In
the evening there are plenty of Bars and Restaurants. Many have live
entertainment during the summer months. The Resort also has a good
variety of shops ranging from supermarkets, souvenir and clothes shops
to smaller shops selling local produce. All within walking distance from
the apartments.
Local Beaches:
There are
5 blue-flag beaches to choose from. The Marina, "Playa del Carregador"
and "Playa Romana" beaches, with
clean, white sand and the clear blue Mediterranean
Sea, are only a
ten-minute walk away.

Local Golf/Activities:
Within
a 30-minute drive we have two excellent golf courses. Las Fuentes has a Tennis Club
and Mini Golf Course. There is also an indoor children's' fun park.
Cycling and horse riding is available in Alcossebre - relaxing
ways to get to know the beautiful, unspoilt local area.
Local Restaurants & Shops:
The nearby villages of both
Las Fuentes and Alcossebre are only a ten-minute
walk away
The
Resort has a good
variety of shops ranging from supermarkets, souvenir and clothes shops
to smaller shops selling local produce.
There are numerous
good-value,
Spanish Tapas bars and Swiss, Italian and
English
restaurants on the sea front close to the
Marina, as well as in Alcossebre itself.
Many have live entertainment during the summer months
and they are very reasonably priced, as are all the
friendly shops that are filled with fresh
produce daily.
The Villages:
Las
Fuentes, which is adjacent to Alcossebre,
is situated on the beautiful
"Costa del Azahar".
This area is well renowned for its orange and almond groves. In January
& February the almond trees start to come
into blossom and in May it's "Orange Blossom Time".
To the
North you will find the picturesque towns of Benicarló,
Peníscola,
and Vinaròs. Peníscola
is a beautiful town full of history as they filmed
"El Cid" there amongst the castle walls and on the white beaches.
Vinaròs is renowned for its local speciality seafood
dishes and each year in February they have a carnival which is on a par
with the" Mardi Gras" in Rio, really well worth a visit at that time of
year.
A one-hour drive
further North is Port Aventura, which has a full
sized Universal Theme Park and a Water Slide Park.
To the
South is Benicassim, which has a large Water World Park
(20 minutes drive). It also plays host to one of the
worlds biggest and most popular music festivals in July. Situated a bit
further south is Castellón, which is wonderful for shopping.
And of course the beautiful cities of Valencia (1 hour
drive) and Barcelona (2 ½
hours drive) are within
easy reach.
